kitsch tested kat approved: Loreal Youth Code Intense Serum

I was totally skeptical about this new product called
 Youth Code by L'Oreal.
I decided after hearing SO much hype I had to test drive it.
I got a bottle of the Intense Serum for about $23 at Walmart.
Honestly, after 2 days I saw a noticeable difference
 in my skins appearance.
My face looked smooth and bright.

After a week, my skin is more firm and hydrated.
It's fun to see a product actually work,
and work quickly.

I give this product an A
for living up to its hype
and  for outstanding performance
 at a minimal price.

Now, I wonder what it could do for my derriere?

kat eyes: prime time

Ladies, if you are over the age of 30
and aren't using primer before you apply your makeup
you are doing yourself a huge disservice.

WHY use PRIMER?
After the age of 30 your body drastically slows in its production of natural collagen.
That means dry skin, wrinkles, and sometimes discoloration.
Primer FILLS in fine lines and wrinkles.
It also gives your skin a smooth flat surface to apply your makeup.
Some primers even have a pearl essence
to make your skin look dewy and have a youthful glow.
Primers prep the skin surface and
you will use actually use less makeup to cover your face.
Makeup Artists use primer for a flawless finish and to ensure
that makeup lasts all day under the intense heat of flashbulbs.

My favorite primer for years has been Smashbox's Photo Finish:

They also came out with a tinted version that's awesome
for hiding underlying pigments in your skin:

MAC's Prep and Prime quickly took my number one spot
because I love it for skin that tends to be oily.
The Prep and Prime leaves your skin feeling like corn silk without that greasy feeling.
Plus it has the pearl essence that REALLY does make your skin look younger:

But, now I am using the Prep and Prime with 50 SPF!  Yep, 50 SPF!!!
It's incredible
And, if your moisturizer or makeup doesn't have SPF you NEED to be using this:
You can find Smashbox at Sephora
and MAC at Nordy's or MAcy's.
