 The next few posts will be from

 my fabulous NYC trip I took this Spring.

The first shoot was with Gentry

a smart and beautiful NYU student

who can work the camera! 

Gentry is wearing Stila's Convertable Color cream blush in

GLADIOLA

a bright orange shade that goes on the cheeks perfectly peach.

Her lips are L'Oreal's VOLCANIC orange lipstick that

I. AM. LOVING.

The clothes were all from the NYU dorm that Gentry collected

 and brought for the pickins at our shoot,

but the shorts are hers and they were $9

on sale at Urban Outfitters.

I guess if you are an XXS you can get some pretty good steals :)

The lace-up boots were also Gentry's

and we all wanted to steal them.

The adorable bag belongs to Mrs. Kamee June

and she found it at TG MAX, because she's a maxanista. 

Kam also was the photographer that shot ALL

 these amazing images.

I couldn't pick my favorites because, well, 

I love them all!!!

So I will just have to share them all.

Tinted Moisturizer

A Summer "must-have".

One in you makeup bag and
 one in your beach bag.

Tinted moisturizer must have:

coverage

moisturizer

and SPF!!!

I use tinted moisturizer in warmer weather
because it is fast, light, and has SPF.

My favorite for years has been
Lancome's Bienfait Multi Vital Teinte
I love Lancome's product for the skin
because they are age conscious and gentle.
I especially like that this tinted moisturizer has
more coverage than others.



Nordy's $45



I also love Stila's Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer

because it is OIL FREE!

Goes on smooth and has a little dewey-ness to it.

Makes skin look youthful.

Coverage is sheer.



Sephora $34



Another favorite tinted moisturizer is by

Laura Mercier.

It also comes OIL FREE and now has SPF!

If you love Laura Mercier's product like me,

you will love the texture and feel of this product.



Macy's $42



Whatever you do, don't skip SPF in your daily beauty routine

 even if you're not going to be at the beach.

I was so excited for this project.

An instant before and after.

Shareen is stunning with or with out makeup.

For her look I used mostly Stila pigments in GOLD tones.

We used an orangey red lip and blush

to bring out her beautiful skin tone and perfect lips.

With someone this naturally beautiful

it's important to keep it simple

and let her true beauty be the focus.

Shareen is a mommy.

Just like all mommies she is busy with her son,

working hard as a photographer to build her business,

and caring for her family.

Sleepless nights, rushing kids to and fro, and eating leftover PB&J's

can put a damper on your beauty routine.

My next class,

"a little kitschy"

is going to address these typical mommy issues;

time, tiredness, looking youthful.

kat eyes: I want makeup like Kim Kardashian!!!

 

The majority of

people who I do makeup for

seem to always ask for makeup like

Kim Kardashian.

I think people LOVE it because

it's one step up from a "natural" look,

it's GLAM, and it GLOWS.

Here are a few of my pointers

to achieve this uber-popular look.

First: use a full coverage foundation

and set it with powder.

Kim has flawless skin.

Use a highlighter like

MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish

and highlight the top of your cheek bones,

down the center of your nose,

and middle of forehead (lightly).

This will give you that GLOW.

Second: line those eyes!

Kim loves a heavy liner

 and a "smoky eye".

Use a brush and apply a darker eyeshadow

 like Stila's Diamond Lil'

around the eye and then line with a liquid

or gel liner like MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack.

If you're more experienced, add some false lashes!

Third: Kim is usually sporting

 a pale glossy lip.

You can achieve the same look

by using a opaque matte lipstick

and covering it with a clear gloss.

I use MAC's Clear Lipglass over

some of their great pale shade like;

Midimauve, Siss, Cherish, or Myth. 

So let's review....

flawless skin with highlighted cheekbones,

smoky heavy lined eyes,

and a nude glossy lip

is all you need to channel your inner Kimmy.
