Strobe Cream

The Mimes.

I LOVED this project!

The idea and inspiration came from the uber talented

 Tonya of Tonya Joy Photography.

She outsourced to me and I ran with it. 

She always has a super fun theme for her photo workshops

and this Circus theme was so fun and yet so beautiful. 

Strobe cream by MAC

is where I started with the mimes pale faces.

I mixed the Strobe Cream in with their foundation

and used a foundation a few shade lighter

 than their natural complexion. 

I only got away with it because

 the Strobe Cream leaves a

dewy mannequin like finish.

As For the black liner I used

MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

with MAC brush #209

for a precision execution.

I just love the Fluidline

because it doesn't travel or smudge.

kat eyes: I want makeup like Kim Kardashian!!!

 

The majority of

people who I do makeup for

seem to always ask for makeup like

Kim Kardashian.

I think people LOVE it because

it's one step up from a "natural" look,

it's GLAM, and it GLOWS.

Here are a few of my pointers

to achieve this uber-popular look.

First: use a full coverage foundation

and set it with powder.

Kim has flawless skin.

Use a highlighter like

MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish

and highlight the top of your cheek bones,

down the center of your nose,

and middle of forehead (lightly).

This will give you that GLOW.

Second: line those eyes!

Kim loves a heavy liner

 and a "smoky eye".

Use a brush and apply a darker eyeshadow

 like Stila's Diamond Lil'

around the eye and then line with a liquid

or gel liner like MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack.

If you're more experienced, add some false lashes!

Third: Kim is usually sporting

 a pale glossy lip.

You can achieve the same look

by using a opaque matte lipstick

and covering it with a clear gloss.

I use MAC's Clear Lipglass over

some of their great pale shade like;

Midimauve, Siss, Cherish, or Myth. 

So let's review....

flawless skin with highlighted cheekbones,

smoky heavy lined eyes,

and a nude glossy lip

is all you need to channel your inner Kimmy.

are one of my very favorite accessories.

and

with the right shade

anyone can pull off a crimson pout.

How to apply:

1-when applying foundation apply over lips.

2- line with coordinating lip liner.

3-fill in with lipstick.

4- trace outside of lips with a foundation brush using foundation or concealer.

5- add clear gloss only on center of bottom lip and upper lip clefts.

It's important to exfoliate

the lips prior to application.

I simply scrub my lips with a wet washcloth.

After you exfoliate MOISTURIZE

your lips before you start applying your makeup.

Then simply wipe off access lip balm

before you apply the foundation.
